Waterloo Wounded Soldiers. A gallery or watercolors by surgeon Charles Bell who hurried from London to Brussels to assist in treating the wounded soldiers from the Battle of Waterloo. He filled a sketchbook with interesting cases which were subsequently worked up as watercolor paintings from teaching about how to care for wounded soldiers. In The Incomparables, 6 Regency romance stories, the heroes have all been at Waterloo and return to London and set up a club to assist wounded soldiers.
